Falling in Love with Books Hop!

Readers Confession

Since Fall is here and 2013 is just around the corner,
I figured we'd talk about
new books or authors we have fallen in love with this year.
Is it that new phenomenal indie author or new series that has blown you away.
Who have you been gushing about all this year ?

There were actually several for me,
but an author and series that stands out in my mind is Kele Moon.

Her  Battered Hearts series ~ about UFC fighters.
I'm going to straight up tell you, as much as I love my
Alpha males, I just didn't think I'd like these.  Nuh uh.
Not my cuppa.  But my book hookah Lillie says ~
READ IT, you're going to LOVE this hero.

So I got and I DID
LOVE it!  So much I zipper through it in one night, and wanted MOREimmediately!  WOW.

The pages SIZZLE, the characters were fresh and
REAL to me...and along comes book 2, FINALLY.

Holy ANGSTY Mamma.  I'm so in LOVE.
I'm DYING for book 3 here ~
Untitled (Book 3 in the Battered Hearts Series)

Wyatt and Tabitha’s story

THIS is why I read books, peeps ~
for books that capture me and suck me into
the story to the degree that I AM the story, I LIVE it.

I FALL IN LOVE with my characters ~

Why do you read?
Is it to escape, to fall in love?  To Laugh?  To Learn?
I do it for all of the above!!

  11. I read for all the reasons you mention, but primarily for amusement. My life isn't so bad I'd have to call it escapism.

    1. LOL, not escapism because things are BAD ~ it's a form of becoming someone else, that form of beind so engrossed all else around ceasing to exist except for the story. THAT kind of escapism!

  15. I have heard of Kele Moon but have never read anything by her. They sound hot and wonderfully! I'm in complete agreement with you! I am a self-confessed read-aholic. Books raise your awareness and let you fantasize about people, places and things. I can read for hours! Book after book! I carry my e-reader with me everywhere. When there is idle time in my day, I'm reading. I have over 3200 books on my NookColor and adding more all the time! I know it's insane but I am voracious and I love it.

Ok, off my soapbox. Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to share.

    1. I'm the same way, Belinda ~ I passed 3500 a while ago on the Kindle, and can't stop myself from buying. I'll probably NEVER get them all read, lol. Unless I win the lottery and can sit around and READ all day ~ can you imagine?? Heaven!! And I can read like that too ~ if a book has got me, I can tune the whole world out!

  21. I love to read because it gives me the chance to experience things outside of myself, or revisit places I've already been... I love a familiar author that you meet up again for another book... it's like meeting an old friend and catching up...what's better than that?!

  23. I love to read a good story with a good storyline that ends on a happy note. I like this because it does provide a way of escape especially in a time where there isn't a lot of happy endings :)
This a new author for me so will definitely check her books out. It's a Christmas idea for me. Thanks so much for the recommendation.
