Shadow Highlander (Dark Sword, #5)

Shadow Highlander (Dark Sword #5)
The Dark Sword series captures all the power, passion, and magic of Scotland’s legendary warriors—sworn to fight for victory, in battle and in love…

HE CAN FEEL HER MAGIC

Sent on a dangerous mission into the shadowy world of the Druids, Galen must find a powerful ancient relic to defeat the enemies of MacLeod Castle. But what he discovers is far more powerful—and far more dangerous. A Druid lass whose beauty is as spellbinding as any magic…

CAN HE FREE HER SOUL?

Reaghan is the most enchanting woman Galen has even met—and the most enigmatic. She alone is immune to his mind-reading gifts. He alone makes her feel safe and secure. But Reaghan holds a secret power deep inside her that could destroy them both. And if Galen hopes to hold this captivating woman in his arms every night, he must defeat the darkness that draws closer around her every day…

Today's book comes from a favorite series & author of mine ~
Donna Grant!
This series was so different for me when I started it ~
Historical Paranomal, and I LOVED it!
There are more out there now, or at least more I've discovered, but I LOVE
the Warriors in this series...and she's done something tricky w/ the series!
She taking it into a NEW series, with some of the characters we've met in the Dark Sword stories ~ and time jumped!  So the new books,
The Dark Warriors, are set in current times!

I am LOVING this!  It's so fun and fits so perfect w/ the story line ~~
So here's my question ~ will you follow an author if they jump sub genres like this?
Or, even if you love the story line, will you not follow if they cross into something your're not a reader of?
Personally, I'll give anything a TRY ~  I read everything, and find new to me things that hook me all the time.  But I'm curious as to how others view this!

  1. If I enjoy an author's voice then I will usually follow them into a new sub-genre. I would like to think that I would enjoy it no matter the genre.

  2. If it's an author I really like I will read at least one book in each genre. Even if it's a genre I don't normally read.

  4. Yes, if I like the author's writing style I will read at least one book in a different sub-genre by them. I have to at least give them a chance to capture my attention there. I find that most authors I like are able to write in more than one genre because it's their writing style that drew me to them in the first place. I pretty much read every genre except non-fiction and horror and none of my favorite authors write in those two genre so I'm lucky I guess...Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. I am usually willing to try a different genre book by an author I really like, but I have a wide range of interests in different types anyway.

  8. I will follow an author I like even if they change book genres. After all I started following them because I liked their books in the first place. Once I follow an author I will not unfollow anyone :)
