It's another year over! Can you believe it? Well we authors, readers, and bloggers sure can't. And to celebrate the New Year with bang, we're going crazy and sending out so many prizes, fun parties, experiences, and other goodies, that it's a bit scary. So, this is hard more me ~ there were a lot new to me authors I discovered this year, and lots of books that think ranked right up there with incredible.  Sitting here contemplating how the heck can I possible pick just ONE as my favorite of the year?

Adored this book ~ hero is SO
not your average hero, yet I loved
him from page 1!
 
Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet: Charley Davidson, Book 4 | [Darynda Jones] 
This is a series I listen to exclusively ~ and while every book has been full of AWESOME, this book was the BEST yet.  Charley is coming into herself ~ and while you might read reviews about the humor & snark, this is a very emotional and deep series.  If you haven't read/listened to the, you are SO missing out!
 
Forged in Fire (Red-Hot SEALs, #1)
I read this when it first came out, as a self published ~ and AGAIN when Montlake rereleased it.  I think I liked it even better the 2nd time around. 
If you're a Linda Howard fan of old, oh YEAH, you're gonna love this author...just wish she'd write FASTER!!
 
 
 
Thriller 3: Love Is Murder | [Sandra Brown (Editor)]
And THIS, well because there wasn't a story in it that wasn't at the very least good ~ and most were excellent.  It actually got me started on several new to me authors ~ They're very short stories, but each one is satisfying in it's own way.

    As I sit here, my husband is working on what we want to do this year...take a real family vacation. We have been married for 15 years and haven't taken the kids anywhere. Many reasons why, but this year, we are changing that. Looking for a pet friendly cabin for a week's vacation. We will do it.
