Miami, Mistletoe & Murder

(Red Stone Security #4)

Fierce and sexy, former Marine Travis Sanchez has always held himself back from the rest of the world, using his tattoos and piercings as armor. But when the woman he’s wanted for months is threatened, he knows it's time to strip away the bad boy image and show her just how much he wants to be with her. As one of Red Stone Security’s best contractors, Travis is trained for almost any situation. But nothing prepares him for the most dangerous threat of all: the one to his heart.

Kind-hearted Noel Baskov’s only wish for the holidays is that her Miami coffee shop has a successful Christmas season. But her focus on work is interrupted when the family of the young girl she mentors is threatened, and the man she’s been lusting after for months steps in to handle it. Unfortunately the danger is far from over. Can this sexy and mysterious warrior protect Noel, or will he be the one to shatter her heart?

Warning: features a heroine determined to fight for those she cares about, a protective hero with a very interesting piercing, and some holiday magic.
So this week I'm in the mood for Christmas! So I'm breaking out some of my Christmas shorts ~ beginning w/ Katie Reus! This is from her Red Stone Security series, but it can totally be read alone as a short story. For this review I'm going to focus on Travis, our hero ~ because, well, I ADORED him! I'm such an Alpha kinda gal ~ and Travis has SO many Alpha traits. He's BIG, he's tattooed ALL over, he's PIERCED ladies (uh huh, I DO mean THERE!!) and he's all huggably protective over Noel. But as hawt & sexy as he is, he's gun shy ~ he's had his eye on our girl Noel for some time, visiting her coffee shop & chatting her up and just too damn shy to ask her out. He's had some bad breaks and while he's NOT a feel sorry for me kinda guy, he's very private & not open to relationships...but he's head over heels for Noel, and scared to his piercing she won't feel the same way when he asks her out. OMG, it's SO sexy and sweet & I LOVED it!
Katie Reus throws in a some suspense, and some AMAZING leading up to the act scenes...this is one you NEED to read, peeps! Totally got me in the mood...yeah, and for Christmas, too!!

Stay Tuned for more of my Christmas Anthology reviews!

Tell me ~ are you reading Christmas themed books right now?

  1. I enjoyed this book as well...his being shy was cute as well as sexy to me! This is the only Christmas themed story I've read so far but I've got others on my wishlist that I plan to get and one on my tbr pile by HelenKay Dimon that I'll read soon!

I have read a few of Katie's books (and enjoyed them), but not this one yet. Travis sounds yummy! ;)
I am reading mixing in some Christmas stories with the many others I am attempting to read.
    Wonderful review! Thanks for sharing.
