It's a Happy
Holiday from your favorite Authors and Bloggers. While we know everyone
celebrates a different way, we wanted to make sure that you guys knew how much
we treasure you all. So from Dec 14th to Dec 17th, all 200 or so of us will be

favorite holiday traditions, recipes, gifts, reads, heroes, and so much more. We
want to hear about what you do for the holidays, what you read, and who you'll
spend it with. We hope to see you here and happy hopping!
Here at Mimmi's Musing's, I thought I'd share some of my very favorite
Holiday Reads ~ I have a treasured shelf of antho's I pull out every year, and take at least one day of my Christmas vacation that I just chill and reread these favorite comfort reads. Most I've had for YEARS but still love like best friends, although I DO still occasionally add to it ~
(I've actually had this one so long it's taped together to hold the pages in!)
Now these are only a FEW, but some of my VERY favorites. This was the first Kleypas I ever read, and hooked me good ~ this LH makes me cry every time, and how can you NOT love Devereaux & McNaught? And a Malory Christmas? Oh, the goodness!
I would LOVE, love to share some of this book loving ~ but most of these aren't available as eBooks yet. So how about we do a $15 Amazon GC, that way it can be open International, and you can buy whatever Christmas books you want?
So to be entered, just follow me, and make sure you leave your email in the
comments ~ and tell me ~

I like surprises in a book but usually won't read it if it doesn't have a happy ending. I do like anthologies however they are not my faves. I do have a few fave Christmas such as An Highlander for Christmas by Paula Quinn, A Highlander Christmas by Janet Chapman and The Magical Christmas Cat (anthology) with Lora Leigh, Nalini Singh...I do have some others but can't recall specific titles at this time without peeking ;)

I never used to read Christmas romances because my Mom died on a 26th of December, but my granddaughter was born on December 26, 5 years after. I started to read some but they are sometimes an emotions tumbler...Recently, I read "Twas the Night After Christmas" by Sabrina Jeffries and I loved it. Story of forgiveness between a mother and her son.
ReplyDeletenlaverdure88@videotron.ca
I don’t have a favorite holiday book. I love all romances no matter what time of the year or holiday they are set in. I like it when my favorite authors put out a holiday story with characters from their ongoing series. I follow you via GFC as Nay Nay. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win. <^_^>

One of my favorite Christmas Romance Books is The Untamable Rogue by Annette Blair! The story is about Ashford Blackburne Fifth Earl and he has to get married and get his willing bride pregnant before Christmas or his grandfather won’t let him inherit his money. Ash truly needs to inherit the money because his late father squandered it all away and he is taking care of his mother. After getting stood up at the alter, again, Ash and his friends go to the local pub where the owner plays a drunken Ash in a card game…his consolation prize is the pubs daughter Larkin, who he wants to get ride of. Ash has to learn to forgive…Larkin has to learn how to trust…can two completely different people find love together. This is a cute, extremely funny, romantic story with a surprise Christmas ending!

One anthology that i loved was The Heart of Christmas, with Mary Balogh, Nicola Cornick and Courtney Milan. In general I love holiday stories, especially if they are really emotional. I also love the winter settings. Usually I'm not a big fan of anthologies, but Christmas stories are the one exception to that. It seems like shorter stories are perfect for the holidays.

A holiday read always has that extra something special. I don't even know if it's a tangible element. No particular authors I seek out. Anthologies can be just the thing over the busy season. I don't have a favorite holiday read.
