Answer: a right hook Because Bryony Morgan pulls no punches. Even when she's very pregnant and facing down the father of her unborn child. She fell for wealthy hotelier Rafael de Luca when he courted her for her beachfront real estate. Then he disappeared. Now, she's in New York for answers--and she won't accept a brush-off.

But selective amnesia after a crash has Rafael puzzled. How could he ever forget a combustible beauty like Bryony? Solution: return to the island where they met, and relive the unforgettable nights in question--until he remembers everything...

  2. Hi

I love category romance - I used to read them all the time (came in the mail each month)! I still read them but there are so many other books I want to read that I am more selective. Maya writes some great books and I also like Julie Miller and HelenKay Dimon.

    Thanks for the chance

  3. I'm a Harlequin whore. I read all the lines and still do. My blog, Harlie's Book Blog, is named after Harlequin. When I started reading romance again, this is where I started and I've never looked back.

I have all of these books, too so don't enter me into the contest.

Julie Miller, Nancy Warren, Linda Warren, Julie Leto, Elle James, BJ Daniels and so many more are my faves.

    1. Marika ~ I cannot even TELL you how much I love that name, and theme of your blog!! LOVE it! LOL, for years and years Harlequins & Silhouettes were my life blood...swear, I spent just about every penny I made on them. Bought every one that came out. Then my fav authors starting graduating up to MM, and I followed, and over the years have just kind of expanded my reading tastes, but I still love Harlequins...although I will say that Silhouette Intimate Moments were some of my very fav books ever, and it just broke my heart when they quit that line. Yeah, I know they have the Romantic Suspense, but it's not the same, and there are LESS, lol.

    1. YES!! And did you know Cynthia Eden is going to start writing Romantic Intriuges??? I'm SO excited about that. Loved her Deadly series --- she's great at PNR, but she's got that touch w/ suspense, so I'm thrilled she's going to keep at it.

  8. I do read category romances. There are some very sweet stories to be found. Sometimes I'll read an author's book, enjoy it and go on to read their backlist which include category romances. A recent one I enjoyed was by RaeAnne Thayne.

  9. I have only read a few category romances. I read some romances as a teen (mainly VC Andrews) but then switched to mystery/suspense for years. It was only 3 years ago or so that I got back into romances (starting with PNR then historicals, then contemporaries, sci-fi, erotic, etc). I would love to read this one though, it does sound good.

  14. Ok am ashamed to say I had to go look up what category romances were. I have never heard that term before and I read a lot of romances, like several full legnth books a week. If the stories were short like these who knows how many I would read.

Love Maya Banks and it looks like there are a whole bunch of others out there that sound terrific!

    1. LOL, oh sweetie, don't be ashamed ~ every single one of us had to figure it out at some point! I just happened to have cut my teeth on them. My Mom worked in a drug store when I was a teenager, so she read them, so I snuck her books and read them. I was hooked by age 14!

And YES, some of the biggest name authors, like Nora Roberts, Catherine Coulter, Tami Hoag, Jayne Ann Krentz, Elizabeth Lowell, JR Ward (as Jessica Bird) and SO many more got their start writing categories. There are so many amazing stories.
